Acrylic on canvas, 45 cm x 30 cm. 2019.
Visithra : "While the first period is celebrated in many cultures and customs, it also marks the start of a confusing period for young women. Many times they are told to hide any signs of their period, hide their sanitary products, not ask questions, to not openly discuss menstrual issues. It takes years for some women to unlearn these misconceptions, forget the taboos and understand their reproductive system. We must let women bloom and understand their body and free them from the many taboos forced on them by society."
