Note : A 'Tory' is a member or supporter of the Conservative Party. This party exists to serve the interests of the rich and business. It is currently the party in Government in the UK and is taking the UK out of the European Union (EU). This is known as 'Brexit'. By 'exiting' the EU the UK will lose 40% of its trade, weaken its external and internal security, and lose countless other advantages it has gained from its economic, research, cultural and social links with Europe since 1973. In addition, the UK's actions threaten peace and stability (only recently achieved) in the north and south of Ireland, an island which has already suffered greatly from several centuries of British colonial oppression, misrule and violence. Whilst people across Ireland are acutely aware of this history and current reality (and the dangers of Brexit) many people elsewhere in the UK (such as Boris Johnson) are deeply ignorant of this, or do not care.
