In 'Climate Change Blues' it runs across the centre of the painting and again has the stars and stripes of the US flag altered once more to highlight the shift in democratic values. The image was created in the early days of the Trump presidency at a time when he was vehemently withdrawing from previously agreed climate change deals.
The figure in the centre plane is bound and abstract, limply flailing over the wall. The kneeling figure was reinterpreted from a photo of a starving child kneeling in the desert. The image offers no resolution to the issues raised by climate change but is really a motif for the potential horrors to come."
