Nihal : "This artwork is about environment and nature. We consume more and more of material things, ranging from plastic to other environmentally hazardous substances, without thinking about the consequences of our actions. Our environment is everyone's; it is also everyone's responsibility, and we must safeguard nature. We can do this by reducing consumption and taking care of our waste in a responsible manner.
As an example from a consumer society, I have worked with these used plastic cups or coffee capsules in this artwork. The costs of what we leave behind us can be very high if we do not simultaneously take care of our waste. In order to create something beautiful of what would otherwise end up on the dump, I have gathered about 200 coffee capsules, 10 pairs of old socks, 2 meters of packaging material, a used dress, a used doll and about 80 hours of work.
I have brought these so-called junk items together, I have given them an artistic significance and arranged them in the room. Through my work, I create art from recycled material, reduce waste, create a better environment to live in and arouse interest in the environment and art among the audience."
