Los Fragmentos del Albaicín, Two Sides of Dreams - by Ce Chen (People's Republic of China)
This image shows both views of a story and also reflects my memories of visiting Granada in Spain. The detailed memories can fade even when you do not want them to. This art work was designed to demonstrate a friendly gesture from a people who are commonly suffering from prejudices and discrimination because of hostility between different ideologies.
There is an ancient poem in China which says : 'flourish or fade, only common people suffer'. Sometimes it seems to be very difficult for honest and friendly Chinese people to live in international society, when there seems to be an ideological fence that is hostile to us and prefers global isolation. However, we do not deserve to be placed in an awkward position - be randomly considered (for example) uncivilised or cunning. Any foreigner is fully capable of understanding, respecting and even loving another culture, a people or a view that may at first seem difficult.
