This series (2016) is made up of a combination of cyanotype and drypoint layers.
Chelsie : "The series explores observational drawings of the public in busy city centres and captures these individuals going through their day to day lives, unaware of the decisions their government is making on their behalf, without their input or thought.
The idea for this artwork was provoked by the terrorist attacks in Paris, and the way our countries responded by attacking back, which just provoked more tragedy and more innocent lives were lost. To visually communicate this, I have composed images of innocent Syrian children amongst the crowds of the public, however the public is unaware of what is happening to these individuals because there is no broadcast, no news, no anything of this further disaster of loss of life."
