Children in some countries are made to take part in warfare and violence as footsoldiers. Young boys, (and sometimes girls) may be kidnapped, taken from their home communities and forced to fight, carrying automatic weapons, rifles or possibly even hand -held missile launchers. Some of these weapons are pictured on drawings on the desk in 'Today's Lesson' (my series of three pieces, also here on Red LIne Art Works). 'Child Soldier' is a 'follow-on' from 'Today's Lesson'."
